Last week we heard rumors about a retro Porsche being designed for the real enthusiasts being dubbed the 911 R and thanks to Autogespot, this could be the very first image / render of what the car could look like. According to the same article, the car is already sold out and will look pretty much like a GT3 but without the large rear wing. Although this low-resolution image is a bit disproportionate, we still manage to get an idea of what to expect from the retro-flavored 911 R which will probably be out in time for the original model’s 50th anniversary. Power will apparently come from the GT3 so you can expect to find a 3.8-litre six-cylinder but this time it will be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox to please the purists. The rumour mill seems to think that it will be limited to just 600 units.
