James Glickenhaus Proposes Nürburgring Lap Time Competition

For those of you who don’t know, James Glickenhaus is the wealthy American who recently showed off the brand new SCG003S at the Geneva Motor Show and now he has announced plans to launch a competition at the Nürburgring Nordschliefe to discover which road-legal car is really quickest around there.

He is clearly annoyed by unverified lap times and wants to settle the ‘King of the ring’ once and for all. I assume he is keen on doing this as he thinks his new creation (SCG003S) will become the fastest production car in the world with an estimated time of 6:30 around the infamous circuit.

He is proposing a competition to be run as part of the Nürburgring 24 Hour race (N24), with road-legal cars having to drive from Cologne, Germany to the Nürburgring on the same set of tyres that they then set a lap time on.

Boy if he manages to organise this, I might be inclined to book tickets to go and spectate!
