It has been confirmed by Toyota that the development of a Hybrid Toyota GT 86 is under way. Speaking at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2013, the automaker mentioned “The development work is quite advanced now, so if the green light is given, we are ready to do it”. I must be honest I did not see this coming! The only thing going for the GT 86 at the moment is that it is a proper driver’s car so what are they going to do with the added weight the hybrid system carries? I hope they pump up the horses!
