McLaren MSO is responsible for producing very special versions of their production cars and the latest victim is the McLaren 650S Spider. This is called the 650S Spider Stephenson’s Edition and it is dedicated to the McLaren Design Director, Frank Stephenson, after rumors were flying around that he thought the “650S took too long to come to the market and the design was already stale”. I am not too sure how true this is because he was recently heard saying that when he see’s the 12C on the road it still grabs him. I am usually one for brighter hues on cars this extreme but this matte dull finish really looks great and the MSO badging on the carbon bits looks fantastic.
