The driver of this completely totaled Ferrari 458 is said to be in critical condition after the car flipped at the Virginia Circle in Durban North on Sunday night. Neil Powell, Crisis Medical spokesperson said they arrived to find the 52 year old man trapped inside the vehicle with severe injuries. “Paramedics worked together to extricate the driver of the Ferrari. With the assistance of Advanced Life support paramedics, the driver successfully stabilised on scene although he is still in critical condition. Once fully immobilised and placed on a ventilator, he was transported to hospital by Crisis Medical paramedics.”

Witness reports at the scene make mention that the car was being driven at high speed prior to the incident. “The driver lost control of the vehicle just before entering the circle causing it to collide with the barrier. The vehicle rolled before coming to a stop on its roof inside the circle, leaving the driver trapped inside.” It is never nice to see something like this and if speeding was involved we still hope that the driver makes it through this and recovers fully.
