BMW Need 7-Series Coupe To Keep Up With Mercedes & Audi

Someone in the know with regards to what BMW has in store for us mentioned that a a sporty, two-door version of the all-new 7-Series is currently in the works and could land as soon as 2019. Sales for the flagship have declined rapidly in the US and next year could be even harder with the arrival of Audi’s new A8. “The 7-Series hasn’t managed the same ‘aha’ effect as the new S-Class, which is what Audi will be going for, too. It’s lacking that special something.” said Juergen Pieper, an analyst at Bankhaus Metzler. With the S-Class you can opt for a Coupe, Convertible and even the Maybach but with the Bimmer, you are restricted to just the sedan version.  If we look at the rendering below of a potential 7-Series Coupe then I would hope Munich is already developing this thing.
