The stunning Italian machine you see below is a LaFerrari (of course) but it is one of just three in the world painted in Nero DS Opaco (matte / satin black) and it just sold for a record amount at the Mecum Auctions. The auction happened during Monterey Car Week and fetched a whopping $4.7 million before the hammer fell making it the most expensive LaFerrari purchase in the world. The car had just 211 miles on the clock at the time and you can bet the new owner is very happy with the purchase. Experts in the know suggest that the LaFerrari (Coupe) prices will settle around the $4 million mark as the mega-collectors set their sights on the LaFerrari Aperta.
