BMW M2 CS To Get Detuned M3/M4 S55 Engine

Alright folks where there is smoke there is fire and after all the rumors and whispering online about a possible M2 CS I am going to put it out there that it is happening. I mean we have heard BMW filing trademarks for the name, we have seen a M2 CS protoype driving around the ring (sounding like it had the S55 powerplant) and now Bimmerpost are actually commenting that the M2 CS will pack the S55 engine albeit slightly detuned.

In addition to the new engine, the M2 CS will feature other track focused bits such as suspension tweaks and aerodynamic parts – such as more aggressive front splitter and rear spoiler or wing. Expect a throatier exhaust and possibly optional carbon ceramic brakes as well.

The M2 CS will come to market in 2018.
