I was recently sent these pictures of a concept Mercedes Gullwing. It seems like it is the original with a touch of the 21st century. New technology merging with classic and original 300 SL Gullwing design. I think it looks awesome and very retro (normal colour glass would have done I feel). Its only a matter of time until someone decides to take up this project themselves and build one in their garage. You can be pretty sure that Mercedes division will not be building one of these anytime soon although I can guarantee you that if they did, they would sell one hell of a lot quicker than the new special edition M3’s.
