Next-Gen Mercedes-AMG A45 Will Be Even More Ballistic

The arrival of the first-gen Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG really shook up the hot hatch market with power output and performance never seen at that level. Then came the Mercedes-AMG A45 facelift version which packed even more power thanks to some tweaking of the incredible 2.0-litre turbocharged motor but according to Autocar, the next-generation will be even more mental. It will apparently go on sale in 2019 and the car’s existing 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will deliver over 400 hp. This angrier power plant will likely be mated to the upcoming variation of the nine-speed dual-clutch gearbox used by lesser Mercedes-Benz models. More power plus better gearbox could mean a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of less than 4 seconds. Hello supercar territory.
