Scheduled for delivery from September this year, this is one hot little car I would not mind owning. 217hp produced from the 2.0-liter engine means you can hit 100km/h in a lovely 6.4 seconds (which is 0.1 seconds faster than the new Golf GTI). Handling has also been improved thanks to sports suspension and electronic diff lock. All 2500 units will be identical and the price tag is $43 690 (R480 000). Not sure many South African’s will scramble to pay that sort of money for a Polo but we will see. Must be one hell of a fun drive and it looks fantastic!
