Now this is something to smile about Volvo! Their new Concept Coupe headed for Frankfurt is a proper head-turner. This is the 1st Volvo to come out from under the new chief designer, Thomas Ingenlath, and it is both sporty and elegant looking at the same time. “The Volvo Concept Coupe is no futuristic dream car” says Ingenlath. “It is designed to demonstrate the capability of our new architecture; the confident stance, the proportions and the most prominent design signatures. Even though the all-new XC90 is an entirely different type of car, you will recognise the connection instantly when it is revealed next year”. What is under the skin? The concept is packing a hybrid system consisting of a 2.0-litre engine with supercharger combined with an electric motor on rear axle producing 400hp and more than 600Nm of torque… More details will come during Frankfurt Motor Show.
