President of Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo, has indicated that there may be a return for the Italian manufacturer to prototype racing, LMP1.

“Who knows, maybe one day we can return and win, say thanks and come home? Maybe we should give it some serious consideration…” – Luca di Montezemolo

He went and added that no decisions have been made and can therefore not inform us of a return date. The last time they were racing this level was 1973 and with the return of Porsche, I think they feel they need to get back into the competition. Enjoy the bonkers rendering below of a Ferrari LMP1 concept.
