Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider Headed For Pebble Beach

Well this is a bit of a surprise but a new report from 4WheelsNews has said that Ferrari will introduce the 458 Speciale Spider later this month at Pebble Beach (16th and 17th August). Their sources have also said that some dealers are already taking orders for the machine. Back in 2010, Ferrari did the same thing with the SA Aperta, so this could actually happen. It could end up being a limited edition like the 430 16M Scuderia Spider, but this still needs to be confirmed. The 458 Speciale Spider is expected to use the same 4.5-litre V8 power plant producing 605 horses but because it may have added weight, the 0 to 100 km/h sprint may increase by a tenth of a second or so. This is going to be one stunning prancing horse and I cannot wait to see the official car. Knowing these car shows, we may even see a ‘leak’ or two in the coming days.
