Just two days ago we shared the news that BMW were going to offer the M3 and M4 with a competition package and now we have the official information. It includes a power boost, handling upgrade, styling tweaks and some additional equipment features. The 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six gained 19 horses to push output up to 444hp which decreased the 0 to 100 km/h time by 0.1 seconds. If the car is fitted with the Competition Package as well as DCT you will hit the 100 km/h from standstill in just 3.9 seconds. You also get a specially tuned Adaptive M Suspension with new springs, dampers and anti-roll bars, along with reconfigured driving modes (Comfort, Sport and Sport+), while the Active M Differential on the rear axle and DSC Dynamic Stability Control have also been tweaked. On the outside, you get an M Sports exhaust system with black chrome pipes, and a black finish for the kidney grille, side gills and model badge on the boot lid. In the cabin, the Competition Package adds lightweight M sports seats with extra support and seatbelts with woven-in BMW M stripes just to remind you that you are in a M car. It is all finished off with new machine polished 20-inch rims.
