We know that the BMW 6 Series is by no means BMW’s best seller with offerings in the form of a Coupe, Cabriolet and even a Gran Coupe but a new report from Automobile Magazine indicates that two of these body styles are being binned. According to the report, BMW is having a “major last-minute rethink” about the next 6 Series (due to arrive in 2018 or 2019) and the Convertible as well as the Gran Coupe could be history. We don’t quite understand why the Convertible would go (maybe too heavy) but the Gran Coupe makes perfect sense with talk about a new flagship 9 Series coming in to play.
