The boss at AMG, Tobias Moers, has confirmed that there will be a Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster next year and it will remain a “proper sports car”. When speaking to Auto Express, he told them that the soft-top version was coming in 2017 but could be revealed for the first time at the end of this year. “The convertible has moved well beyond the drawing board and it will be the next AMG GT model to arrive” said Moers. Some sources are suggesting that it will have a soft cloth roof to save weight and will likely be available in GT and GT S models. When Moers confirmed the roofless GT, he also made mention that another road-legal GT model is on the way which is likely the highly anticipated Black Series.
