We have all come to learn about the VERY bland Motorvehicles that AMG manages to turn into tar eating monsters. Well there latest addition to the range is the Coupe version of the C63 AMG. Who else is competing against the M3 Coupe after all? Can it be matched or even better, beaten? Let’s start with the looks and one can instantly tell it is an AMG version with the various spoilers, a diffuser, mean twin exhausts, carbon fibre trim, LED running lights and errmm chrome inserts… The coupe will be lowered by about 40mm in comparison to the older C63 adn sit on their new 5 twin-spoke light-alloy wheels which will be finished off in titanium grew and high-gloss finish. You dont want to be scratching these bad boys on the curbs.
Situated on the center console is the rotary control for selecting the C, S, S+, M transmission modes and RACE START. To use these functions, one needs to apply the technology to something and in this case the coupe will use the same 6.2 (yes that is right, it is not a 6.3… tsk tsk) liter V8 engine with a total output of 457 HP. With this new version, you will be able to include a performance package that would up your power to 487. The result is a 0 to 100km/h sprint in 4.5seconds. So where does this put in with the M3? The M3 with its new M Double Clutch transmission can rocket to 100 in 4.5 seconds only using 414hp? I guess the choice is yours at the end, I am a BMW man and would not hesitate for 1 second between these two. Watch the promo video below to get a feel for this new aggressive Coupe.
