Porsche Take Covers Off 2015 Cayenne Facelift

Porsche has taken the covers off the facelifted Cayenne and as expected it does come with a number of modifications.

There are subtle styling changes at the front where there is a larger grille and redesigned bumper with more blades in the air ducts to improve cooling. The front wings and the hood have been revised as it appears to be slightly more shaped than before. The Bi-Xenon headlights come standard with the Diesel, S and SE-Hybrid versions. If you choose the Turbo model you will get LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). At the back the taillights seem a little more angular and the bumper has been redesigned to incorporate the tail pipes.

Under the hood (where it counts) the Cayenne S gets a new 3.6-litre bi-turbo V6 capable of pushing out 415 horses and 550 Nm of torque. This is replacing the thirsty 4.9-litre V8 which is 20 hp less potent and as I mentioned less economical. It is capable of hitting 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds which means that it is a healthy 0.4 seconds faster than the older version. The 2015 Porsche Cayenne facelift should reach dealers by the end of the year but I could not find any information on pricing in Rands (stay tuned).
