2018 Range Rover Velar Leaked Before Geneva Debut

We were teased with a shot from Land Rover last week with regards to their new sports crossover the Range Rover Velar and now the car has been revealed in full albeit a leak. Is the big daddy Range Rover too big for you and the Evoque too small? Well judging by these shots, the Velar will be absolutely perfect for you.

Land Rover are probably aiming to steal buyers from the likes of the BMW X4, Mercedes GLC Coupe and even the slightly larger SUV’s such as the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe. The gallery you see below shows the Vellar looking very Range Rover with influences from both the Evoque (especially up front) and the Sport (the rest of the body), but with more rounded and softer lines, as well as a more rakish roof than either one.

Regarding what’s under the hood, nothing is known as of yet but it should be closely related to the Jaguar F-Pace so top of the range (for now) would be a supercharged V6 with a SVR variant packing a V8 possibly arriving sometime in the future.
