Mercedes-AMG has finally released details of their new ‘facelift’ A45 and we can now confirm that it is the most powerful production hot-hatch available. Yes that means it’s 2.0-litre turbocharged engine is pushing out a whopping 375 horsepower toppling the new Audi RS3 (362 hp) and the epic Ford Focus RS (345 hp). What is new on this version?

    • 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds
    • In-gear acceleration is faster than before
    • Comes with Dynamic Plus pack (adds a mechanical front locking-differential)
    • AMG Ride Control
    • Five Dynamic driving modes
    • Race mode allows faster gearbox shifts and loosens ESP for some drifting action
    • Cosmetic changes are very few; front skirt and LED headlights
    • Order books open on the 3rd of July with first deliveries scheduled for September
Other than the increase in power and performance, do you think that Mercedes has done enough with the look? I don’t.
