Kahn Design RS250 Vesuvius Copper Evoque

Afzal Kahn’s latest project is this new mini-sport utility vehicle: the smallest ever Range Rover. We all know it’s called an Evoque, but allow A. Kahn Design to put into words just why this vehicle, complete with the enthralling Kahn Evoque kit sets the benchmark.

With over 90 percent of buyers set to be ‘newcomers’ to the product, and younger, more urban and a great deal more female than traditional customers – Afzal Kahn’s dalliance with the Evoque offers a whole new breadth of excitement, no doubt they’ll be reveling in ‘RS250’ shades of Vesuvius Copper! And let Afzal Kahn be very clear: “This is how it should be done. I sat on the fence and waited until most of styling kits for the Evoque’s had been released,” said the principal British designer.

“It was a very complicated car to work but we worked within the factory style lines and I put my heart and soul into this. We spent thousands of hours working on this car because I wanted to ensure it isn’t seen as a conventional car but as something more serious for the road and I am quietly confident that our customers will enjoy a great deal of motoring supremacy with this outstanding vehicle.”

    >The A. Kahn Design Evoque is wholly unmistakable, with every external modification serving to coax greater performance from the car. The Afzal Kahn touch includes a front and rear bumper, boot spoiler, central exhaust, fog lamps, LED running lights in front bumper, new front grille, Kahn lowering module, privacy glass, brake calipers finished in Vesuvius copper, vented foot pedals in machined aluminum, heated seats, floor mats, aluminum machined foot pedals and Kahn branding.

Centered around a radical design and interconnected in order to coalesce design and engineering expression, the Kahn cross hair exhausts in stainless steel reflect an attraction to a pluto-matic lifestyle: a first cousin only to silence, and manners.

Inside is the ‘bespoke touch’, this particular vehicle comes with front and rear seats in black quilted and perforated leather with Alcantara inserts and Vesuvius copper detailing, rev counter and speedo in red, centre glove box (diamond quilted), door entry sill plates in stainless steel, door panel tops in quilted and perforated leather, piano black carbon trim and Vesuvius sports steering wheel with copper stitching.

However, we always provide our customers with what they want. And Afzal Kahn could, for example, design for you a vehicle with an exterior the colour of your jeans and an interior with seats akin to the shade of, let’s say, a grey t-shirt. Customers could also change the colour of the clock, or ask for anything else, the world is their oyster, so to speak.

Kahn wheels sit perfectly on any vehicle, conveying the essence of the vehicle’s identity. Created using state-of-the art manufacturing and materials technology, the 9 x 22” (right offset) RS600 wheels in matt grey and fit all original centre caps.

With simple clean lines, soft organic surfaces on the edge of the spoke and a purposeful mechanical centre, the RS600 wheels are synonymous with elegance and innovation.

    A. Kahn Design is for the individual who will not submit to a life of uniformity and who will only accept perfection.

Dedicated to the creation of luxury bespoke vehicles, we redesign the ordered monotony of mass produced vehicles and rebuild them into individually tailored creations.

    • Aston Martin calls it the 'fastest luxury SUV in the world' and 'the supercar of SUVs' but is the DBX707 worth all this hype?

It is the fastest and most powerful SUV you can currently buy (order) in SA so there is that but the reality today is that the 707 will have to dice with the Urus, the Bentayga Speed, and the Cayenne Turbo GT for hearts, minds, and wallets.

Aston estimates 65% of DBX sales going forward will be this 697 hp (520 kW) and 900Nm variant and after driving it, this might be an underestimate. If the regular DBX is in your price range, then you can almost certainly afford a DBX707.

It can hit 100 km/h in 3.3s and go to a ridiculous 310 km/h so, of course, it is properly quick but it is just as impressive when the roads get twistier and it instils an enormous amount of confidence in the driver.

If you fancy snapping up this contender for the Super SUV king title, you are going to need at least R5m making it significantly more expensive than the Lambo and Porsche counterparts but you will be driving something a lot more rare which could be the reason you hand your money to Aston Martin.

What do you all think?
