The new little Polo GTI has undergone a much needed facelift and the best news is that the 1.4-litre turbo engine has been replaced by a slightly stronger 1.8-litre. It only gains about 10 horsepower but it also gets a 70 Nm boost. Many car fans will rejoice because previously this little hot hatch was only available with a DSG transmission and now you can opt for a 6-speed manual. 0 to 100 km/h comes up in 6.7 seconds which is 0.2 seconds faster than the current Polo GTI and with a top speed of 236 km/h it is 8 km/h faster in that respect. The car gets some minor styling changes which include; re-sculpted bumpers, LED headlights, new intrument panel, steering wheel design and center stack controls inside the car. We will see the car unveiled at next months Paris Motor Show.
