When you go to a large online retail website, you will find many different accessories for cars. These include car parts designed mainly for aesthetic reasons, such as car covers or car mats.

Still, you can also buy items intended for performance or safety purposes. It can include auto parts that will help your vehicle start in cold weather, boost your car battery life, or even give you a better way to attach cargo containers on top of your vehicle when they are empty.

If you consider buying car parts online for the first time, it is essential to know what items can be purchased through online retailers such as https://www.rolan.com.au/. Here is a look at some of the different types of car parts you might be able to purchase with ease.

    Engine Parts

In addition to changing your oil regularly and keeping it full, engine performance can be improved with the right parts. You can get your vehicle’s engine to run more smoothly with items such as new pistons or a valve job service. This simple process can get your car working better than ever before without costing you an arm and a leg.

    Vehicle Body Parts

There are plenty of items you can order for your vehicle to improve its looks. For example, car covers are available in many different styles to help keep your vehicle cool while sitting outside or getting hot while being driven around. Car mats are another popular way to enhance the look of your interior and provide protection against damage.

    Wheels and Tyres

No item affects your car’s performance more than the tyres and wheels you put on it. It includes how you drive it and the type of terrain your vehicle will be travelling over, so make sure to get durable tires with proper tread depending on where you live or what types.

    Powertrain Parts

Sometimes, your vehicle’s transmission or other powertrain components will need to be serviced. Loss of power in certain gears is common with advancing age, but you can restore your vehicle’s performance by getting this critical system checked out.

    Recreational Vehicle Parts

If you own a recreational vehicle like a camper, boat trailer, motorcycle trailer, or another type of vehicle that is designed for off-road use, you can find many different parts to keep it working in good condition for years to come.

For example, you will be able to get electrical appliances installed in your camper so that you can run them any time without worrying about draining power from the car battery.

    Electrical Parts

Anytime you want to change how your vehicle is operated or what features it has with convenience, electrical parts are a good option. For example, you can get your car to start in cold weather with the help of an engine heater or buy items that will allow you to use your smartphone as a GPS while driving.

    Safety and Security Parts

Items such as car alarms are designed to keep your vehicle safe from thieves, whether trying to unlock the car doors or break a window. Other items can make you more comfortable when you drive, such as heated seats or auto shades that will lower your risk of having an accident by blocking sunlight.

    Other Miscellaneous Parts

Many online retailers also sell items that do not fit into one of the above categories, including roof racks, car covers, and door protectors. You can even get auto parts to help you maintain, like oil filters or brake pads.

You don’t have to struggle with finding different types of car parts when you visit an online retailer because they offer a full line of accessories you can use on your vehicle.

    • We waited a fair bit for the Tiguan R to arrive but that means it has been given enough thought and executed with the sort of German precision that makes us happy to have waited.

As fast SUVs go it’s a cracker, and with a price tag starting from R1,014,900 it is actually decent value in the segment.

It’s fun, aggressive when you want it to be and remarkably civilised when you don’t. Cars like this rarely make sense, but the Tiguan R is one case where that argument starts to change one's mind.

We cannot wait to drive the matching Golf next week!

Zandvoort Blue would not be our choice but the looks have certainly grown on us. What about all of you?

    • If you’re expecting a faster, angrier and more focused version of the original 86, you’re going to be happy with this car.

Toyota finally gave the 86 more power. It’s not take-your-breath-away power, but again, it’s not made to win drag races. If you want more power, get a Supra.

Sure it is a bit more pricey this time around but it is a no-regrets kind of car that you will enjoy just as much today as 10 years from now.

Long live the manual transmission, especially when it’s packaged within something as fun as the Toyota GR86.
