Want A BMW M7? Alpina Has The Answer With Their B7

BMW has not given us an M7 yet but they seem to enjoy working with Alpina as theire new B7 xDrive could be the perfect replacement.

    • 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8
    • 8-speed sport auto transmission with Alpina switch-tronic
    • 592 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque
    • 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds

These performance improvements were achieved by performing a number of technical upgrades in the air intake, intercooler, turbocharging, pistons and sports exhaust system and they allow the “BMW M7” to hit a mental top speed 311km/h. The suspension received some work too but the main aim was to retain “the exceptional long-distance cruising comfort of the predecessor while at the same time significantly sharpening the agility, handling and lateral dynamics”.

The machine sits on big 20-inch Alpina Classic wheels and cover up a high-performance braking system. On the outside, the car looks very much like the 7-Series with its kidney grille albeit modified grille to help with the new cooling needs and it also sports two elliptical twin tailpipes, integrated in the rear apron. The design is complemented by the bespoke Alpina Blue Metallic and Alpina Green Metallic paints.

The new Alpina B7 should make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, in early March, before heading to the New York Auto Show later in the same month.
