Last week, RM Sotheby’s London auction produced one hell of a surprise result thanks to this 1995 Riviera Blue Porsche 993 GT2. Before the event, the GT2 was given a £750,000 and £850,000 estimate by the auction house but when the hammer eventually dropped, the winning bid stood at a mind-warping £1,848,000 (approx. R35 million). What makes it so special? Is it one of just 57 road going examples of this generation GT2, it is completely original and has done just 12,370km. This is scary money but it shows the world that Ferrari’s are not the only speciale machines increasing in value at a rapid rate.
