Just a few days ago we heard confirmation that the next BMW roadster will not get the Z5 badge but rather continue with the Z4 badge.
It will be built under the codename G29 and will take aim at the likes of the Porsche 718 Boxster. Some sources are suggesting that the drop-top will weigh a little more than 1400kg in turbocharged 2.0-litre four cylinder entry-level guise.
We expect the new chassis to be significantly lighter than the outgoing car which should make it a much more dynamic driving experience overall. The German manufacturers newest power plants will make their way into the new Z4 with a possible Z4 M40i M Performance using the turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder B58 unit.
The rendering above does look a little bit over the top in terms of the styling department but it is most definitely a looker.
