As you should all know, the new Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4MATIC+ is on the most powerful sedans in the world which makes it the perfect candidate for safety car duties in Australia.

The Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12hr Race next month will see this 603 hp sedan becoming the official safety car and thanks to the tri-colour exterior and an LED lighting unit on the roof looks ready to serve.

Mercedes did not provide much information on the car but you can be certain it will include a whole host of communication equipment and other non-standard bells and whistles.

Do you think the Mercedes-AMG E63 S suits this role?
