The new Audi S1 has arrived in South Africa so a little bit of information and pricing needs to be shared with you all.

It is sporting a 170 kW 2.0-litre TFSI engine which is also capable of 370 Nm of torque. This allows the hot little hatch to hit 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. This is the very first small compact Audi to get the quattro system and I am quite sure it will be absolutely brilliant to drive on the road and on the track. The xenon plus headlights are all-new while the LED rear lights come with new, horizontally structured graphics. A host of details- particularly on the front and rear bumper, the side sills and the exhaust system – boast more striking styling. A larger brake master cylinder as well as larger brake discs – 310 millimetres in diameter – ensure excellent deceleration.

The Audi S1 will have the following standard specification in South Africa:

    • 17″ 5-parallel-spoke design cast aluminium alloy wheels in S design
    • Xenon Plus headlights with LED rear taillights
    • Audi drive select with adaptive damping
    • Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming
    • quattro® all wheel drive
    • 6-speed manual gearbox
    • All-round, independent S sports suspension
    • Progressive Steering system with dynamic ratio
    • Brushed stainless steel pedals with rubber inserts
    • S1 Sport seats in Sector cloth/leather combination
    • S1 logo embossed on the front seat backs
    • S1 instrumentation in grey
    • S1 sports flat bottom steering wheel
    • S1 badging on the door-sill trims

The Audi S1 range will be priced as follows, standard with the 5 year/100 000 km Audi Freeway Plan:

    Audi S1 2.0T quattro manual: R 442,000

    Audi S1 Sportback 2.0T quattro manual: R 449,500
