Generally whenever there is a new BMW M model, it joins the MotoGP safety car fleet and as expected the exciting new little M2 has been turned into a one-off hardocre Safety Car. As always they have packed every single piece of M Performance part onto the car as well as a few prototype components. It gets a M Performance-branded exhaust system with carbon finishers, carbon fibre aero bits, coilover suspension, alcantara steering wheel, carbon fiber interior trims and more. The BMW engineers also threw in prototype versions of a carbon-ceramic brake system derived from the M3 and M4 models, front splitter and fixed rear wing, along with gold rims and interior accents.

Since it will be seeing a lot of track time, it was fitted with a number of race-spec components, ranging from a roll cage, Recaro seats and a fire extinguisher inside, to LED strobe lights and special Michelin Cup tires.
