After a little slip up the other day where we saw the actual car, the official details on the new S63 AMG have now been released. It will have a beefy 585hp and a sprint to 100km/h time of 4.4 seconds. AMG has been very busy but this is their latest offering, the range-topping S-Class model. That is until we see the S65.. haha! It will have the same 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 that is is being packed into the E63 and other ‘big’ cars and what is quite something is that a car this size will beat a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S to 100km/h. One would think being a classy range topping they would not be worried about the sound it makes but you would be wrong. They have new flaps in the sports exhaust that open and close depending on what mode you are in (I know which mode I would leave it in). You have the option to choose 4WD too (just like the new E63) which makes acceleration even quicker. Lightweight alloys, carbon ceramic brakes, front apron and splitter, side sills, plenty AMG badges, black rear diffuser and the ever present twin exhaust pipes really complete the typical AMG package. This is a monster of a car and it will come with a monster of a price tag.
